TruckHive Privacy Policy
What we collect
- Account: email address and password (stored hashed by our auth provider), handle, optional photo, bio and carrier name.
- What you post: reviews, comments, videos, photos, and the shippers you add.
- Settings: your privacy and notification choices.
- Device: push notification token, app version, and — on the free plan — the advertising identifier if you allow tracking.
- Location: used on your phone for the driving lock and to find shippers near you. When you search near you, your coordinates are sent to look up nearby facilities and are not stored. Location is optional.
- Motion: if you deny location, the phone’s motion activity ("in a vehicle") is used for the driving lock, on your phone only.
What other drivers see
Your handle, photo, bio and videos. Never your email, never your list of reviews. Anonymous reviews show "Verified driver" instead of your handle. Your carrier name and city only show if you turn those on.
How we use it
To run the app, screen content for safety, answer reports, send the alerts you turned on, and show ads to free users.
Who processes it
- Supabase — database, file storage and sign-in (hosted in the United States).
- OpenAI — automated screening of text and images.
- Sightengine — automated screening of videos.
- Google AdMob — ads for free users.
- Apple and Google — subscriptions and push notifications.
- FMCSA — broker lookups use only the MC, DOT number or name you search for.
We do not sell your personal information.
Location and video metadata
GPS data is removed from every video before it is stored.
How long we keep it
Videos delete automatically when they expire. Other content stays until you delete it or your account. Deleting your account removes your profile and content.
Your choices
Change privacy and notification settings in the app. Delete your account in Settings → Account, or request deletion by emailing support@gettruckhive.com.
Children
TruckHive is for adults 18 and older.
